Ink and wash
Lively pen line with light, transparent colour. Good for funny stories and busy scenes.

Pencil and wash
Coloured pencil texture under pale washes. Quiet, gentle, made for bedtime.

Night watercolour
Deep blues that bleed into each other, with warm glowing light. For night-time and sea stories.

Bright watercolour
Loose, juicy colour with splashes and very little line. For cheerful, energetic books.

Soft pastel
Pale washes with no hard edges. For babies, toddlers and board books.

Vintage storybook
Fine sepia line and careful, earthy colour, like the nursery classics.
