A studio service
Find your child in every scene.
Busy, detailed scenes where your child is hidden somewhere on every page, along with things to spot. Made to order from a photo, with places your family knows.

N° 01Busy scenes, packed with detail
Busy scenes, packed with detail
Each spread is a full scene, such as a market, a park or an airport, packed with things to find.
N° 02Your places
Your places
Include your town, your school or a family trip; send photos and we draw them into the scenes.
N° 03Things to find
Things to find
A list on each page of objects to spot, with the answers at the back.
N° 04How it is made
How a book like this comes together.
01
The list of places comes first
We agree the scenes with you before sketching, and each place gets its own picture.
02
One outfit, every scene
Your child wears the same clothes and one clear item, such as a hat or a backpack, in every scene. That is what makes a small figure findable.
03
Harder as the book goes on
Early scenes hide the child in plain view. Later scenes use more crowd and more cover.
04
Family things as items to find
A pet, a favourite toy, the family car or your front door can be hidden in the scenes as things to spot.
05
A last scene at home
The book can close with the child in plain view in a place they know. It gives a search book an ending.
N° 05What goes wrong
Common mistakes, and how to avoid them.
01
The child hidden in the fold
A figure placed at the centre of a spread disappears into the binding. Your child and the listed items are kept clear of the fold and the trim.
02
Too hard for the child's age
A scene that suits an eight-year-old frustrates a four-year-old. Tell us the age and we set the size of the hidden figure and the density of the crowd to match.
03
A likeness that fades at small size
A face a few millimetres high cannot carry a likeness alone. Hair, outfit and colours do the work, and you approve the character sheet first.
04
A place nobody recognises
One photo of a building is often not enough to draw it. We ask for views from more than one side when the photos do not show enough.
N° 06Your brief
What to send us to get started.
You do not need all of it. Send what you have and we will ask in writing for anything missing.
• Photos of each child, face and full length
• Names and ages
• The places to include, with photos of each
• An outfit or item the child is known for
• Family things to hide: a pet, a toy, a car
• Where you plan to print, if you know

N° 09Questions
The answers we give most often.
- Why does this cost more than a vehicle book?
- Search-and-find scenes take much longer to draw, so it starts at the Picture Book package.
- Can siblings be included?
- Yes. Up to three children fit within the Picture Book package.
- How many scenes does the book have?
- The Picture Book package has 15 illustrations plus the cover. How scenes and answer pages are counted is confirmed in the quote.
- Can our pet be in the book?
- Yes. Send photos of the pet with your brief. Whether it counts toward the package's character limit is confirmed in the quote.
- Do I see my child's character before the scenes are painted?
- Yes. The character sheet comes first and you approve it before any scene is drawn.
